This Cookie Policy explains how GLIDE LTD ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar local storage technologies in the Glide mobile application ("the App") and on our website at getglide.ng.

Note for mobile app users: Traditional browser cookies do not apply to mobile apps. The App uses equivalent technologies — device local storage and secure encrypted storage — which serve the same purpose as cookies and are covered by this policy.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website to remember information about you. In our mobile app, we use the following equivalent technologies:

Expo SecureStore: an encrypted, device-level secure storage used to store your authentication tokens (access token and refresh token). This keeps you logged in between app sessions securely.
AsyncStorage: a simple, unencrypted local key-value store used for non-sensitive preferences (e.g., your notification settings in the driver app).

2. What We Store and Why

5. How to Control Storage and Cookies

In the mobile app

Sign out: deletes your access and refresh tokens from SecureStore, ending your authenticated session
Delete account: clears all locally stored settings and tokens
Uninstall the app: removes all app data including local storage from your device
Notification settings: change your preferences in Settings → Notifications within the app, or via your device's notification settings

In your web browser

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we introduce new features or third-party services. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app alert. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
